yeah i’m so glad. i wanted to be free or else to die. i didn’t want to be in the in between place. …

i got tired of singing sensitive intelligent songs to a dead reaction while some shouted screamed inanities would draw a big applause. and i figured i could either quit the whole thing or find a way to meet it, to appeal to it… you know get their attention, and still bring the purity as i saw it of my lyric, the poetic of it, to bring that …

i didn’t know what else to do if i quit. it was a burning desire.

so i learned how to sing melismas, and found it was fun in any case, bc i like learning new things, i think its good for us, keeps us young and enthused, and that then i had the package they are looking for… and bc i wanted to be superfree. as free and alive in the outter world as i find natural in my inner world… that wasmotivating me too, to become a big ‘worldly’ success — for the purpose of helping to make the outter world match that… and not live in the gap anymore where they are at odds with each other. the song, there’s a debt there’s a gap is about that…

with songs, you have to be present — show up, and then allow it to speak. the talent, the art from my perspective is really not interfering, but being present… this talking about it, even tho its honest as i can be about, seems to go against the spirit.. you know?

so be part of the change – challenge the narrative. Here are 2 forces working not to perpetuate but to love the difference in the world: microfinancing, and, otherly yet equally, the world meditation intitiaitve. these are the two most effective approaches covering both extremes of the issue. of course there are a thousand other ways too. the important thing is to be aware. anyone else want to share?
